Elaine Pace
is a writing coach and the author of two recent non-fiction works: Island Home -- Why People Come to Martha's Vineyard
and Why They Stay (1st World Publishing, 2008) and Island,
a Memoir (1st World Publishing, 2005). Her work was included in Martha's Vineyard Writing (2007).
She also does freelance writing for Martha's Vineyard Magazine. She is currently working on a novel scheduled
to be published in 2014. Elaine offers custom-designed workshops to individuals

a superintendent of schools, an assistant superintendent, a principal, a director of staff development, and a teacher. She has
worked in education settings from elementary school through the college level and enjoyed writing during all of
her adult life. After living for 26 years in Kinnelon, New Jersey,
Elaine moved to West Tisbury, Massachusetts, on the island of Martha's Vineyard in 2001 where she works as a
motivational leader and a compassionate writing coach.
